A family visiting Kashmir for the first time begins their journey with a Kashmiri driver named Bashir. They were laughing and playing together and enjoying the trip, but on the third day, while returning from Pahalgam, their journey comes to a sudden end. This story, with many emotional, social, and political twists, is basically a love story.  'Apni Kahani'...This Hindi name was given to the Marathi novel because of the main character Bashir! He started the story with this song and took it to a different direction right from the beginning. The confrontations that Bashir's family and other Kashmiri brothers had with the immediate, social, or political situations of different times are described in very restrained terms, only for the sake of the plot, so we continue to read the story with enjoyment. Although it is a love story, the story is as exciting as it is thrilling in every part. The specialty of this novel is that the story makes us think at many occasions and even when the novel ends.
