I researched, used and demoed loads of tabs before buying this. Right from the nexus 7c to the kindle fire hd and even the galaxy s series, nothing comes close to the experience of using an iPad. The nexus might have the mighty android customisability, the kindle might have great eBook reading capabilities and the galaxy s might have the best screen on a portable device but the iPad is and will remain the most beautifully made device that is pure pleasure to own and use.

works fine on all aspects. heavy apps load very quickly. camera is decent. with the long life battery. the retina display is good but wen u keep it next to ipad air,the colour seems to b slightly faded at vibrant points. Still, one of the best of 2013.

the only big issue is the heating up of the back side while playing heavy apps. Apple please rectify it in ur next ios update.

This is my second apple product. I had used ipod shuffle before. I was impressed with the quality of ipod shuffle too.

A wonderful tab with retina display and a very good processor A7 chip along with a co processor. This is a wonderful tab with so many apps on the App store. Why to buy Nexus or any other cheap Samsung tab that are full of lags when you have APPLE at such an amazing price. Buying a tab is one time investment for two to three years then invest in a good one.

Yes. It is an iPad and lives up to its reputation. The 2 year old hardware still delivers enough performance which outpaces the other tabs in this price. I bought it during the freedom sale for an unbelievable price and am more than satisfied with it.
Apple rightfully charges premium for the build quality and software support they offer. Does not lag or hang like Android.

If you buy this iDevice you will get the exact same configurations of iPad Air, may be not the screen size but this will do fine for the next three years in the iPad race.

Compatibility - The architecture of the processor is 64 bit so, you don't need to worry about apps.

User Friendly - iOS 8 is coming this autumn which will be much more user friendly because it is developer friendly. iOS 7 is not bad too.

It's almost an year and I didn't faced any lag or hang till date. I know that this will work fine till it's with me.
One suggestion for buyers who will do extreme gaming: Do buy a case or cover because overuse of RAM will turn it's metal body warm.
Overall review:-
1) The price is fair.
2) Processing is powerful.
3) Cameras are good and full hd video recording is supported.
4) You can grip it in one hand.
