You can create a Guest Network for friends and relatives securing your personal network. In built WD hard drive is fast. Remember, you can only transfer files on the air. Its a cable router.

given the kind of money you are spending on buying this, I expect it to work flawlessly. While the Wifi is excellent - great through put, excellent to setup, easy to manage and maintain using Airport - the access to the Harddrive is a pain and fairly flaky. Sometimes I can connect to it and sometimes not. I have two of these on my network and I can't see I'm absolutely satisfied.

It is worthy product. Wireless router with 2 TB hard disk. And I can control and access from my iPhone and my ipad. The biggest thing is that apple store guys told me I can't access data from it. But they were wrong there is one app FILE BROWSER u just download that one u can access all the data and u can even connect pan drive also. And access data from that also.

Apple will provide service till the time it's in warranty. Once warranty is over they will not service it as Indian service provider as not authorized to do it. They can provide you replacement unit for Rs 22,000 as per 18th November.

Bought it for mere 18800/- its 2TB version(it's expandable) , best for those using apple eco systems products like mac with apple tv, other's just don't buy . Can easily configure for time machine backup and can be configured as a media server for apple tv
