This is miles ahead of fire stick or chromecast. Absolutely no lag and video streams smoothly unlike fire stick where it keeps buffering in third party apps. The built quality and remote is almost perfect. If you are in apple ecosystem then buy this instead of any other streaming device. This works fine even with a 1080p TV
