Only when there is a need
I bought this product for my macbook air, for when I work with an additional monitor which takes up the only thunderbolt port. At other times, I use wifi or thunderbolt to ethernet adapter.
This works well with OS X, and also, Linux, haven't tried it on MS Windows.

Fraud Product.. Guys Beware.
This Product is not from Apple,but from some other generic manufacturer. Bad build Quality. Apple Macbooks don't even recognize this product. In fact they have included a driver mini CD with the pack that does not work. This Supplier should be reported to Apple for using their name incorrectly.

Nice Adaptor for Light/Ultra books.
Can work with any computer irrespective of OS. Just need to download the driver. Bootcamp from Apple contains driver in Asix folder for windows..

Average product, Kept it only for emergency use at work
Gets HOT on min use.
Built quality looks Average.

2 Years old product was delivered
PS: There's no problem with product. The problem is with Vendor/Service.
Even after repeated conversation, vendor never came back and didn't replace product. There's no issue with product. Issue is with vendor and mfg date of product, delivered product was 2 years old.
