Applied Physics is designed as a textbook to cater to the requirements of the latest syllabus of the first year Engineering physics course offered by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada.
The book comprehensively cover all the relevant topics of optics including interference, diffraction, polarization, and laser, electromagnetic fields, quantum mechanics, free electron theory, band theory of solids, and semiconductors in a simple and lucid manner. the text is interpersed with numeroussolved examples and self-explanatory illustrations for better understanding of the concepts. It also included appendices on SI units, important physical and lattice constands, periodic table, and properties of semiconductors for ready reference.
