Sowing Method
To sow chalkumro (ash gourd) seeds, prepare nutrient-rich, well-drained soil in a warm location, then sow two seeds 1-2 cm deep per spot, spaced 75-90 cm apart. After planting, moisten the soil gently by sprinkling, not pouring water. Germination typically takes 7-18 days, and once the seedlings are about 3 inches tall, they can be transplanted to a desired growing area with a trellis for the vines to climb.
