Parul makes you eat out of her hands !

The opening line of the first chapter hits you like a train and then you are hooked ! Even if you are a cynic and not impressed easily with the books. The best part is that you 'live' the character of Suhaani till the very end, a character with whom not only the generations of yesteryears but also the gen Y and Z would connect with ease. The author does not have any pretese of being literary which is quite as well because the reading is like a breath of fresh air without any heavy fragrance ...

One-time light Hearted read and a good Masala mix

I have just finished reading your new book, and wanted to write to you about my thoughts. I would just want to admit that I have been straight and blunt with my language and understanding of life lately after experiencing its realities in an different enlightening way, please bear with me and my thoughts as they are in no way to either criticize or bring down the effort of you writing a book and then managing to get it published too !!! For me this moment is a great achievement in itself and ...

    Loved "Arranged Love"

I generally don't buy Indian author fiction because they all look like they are trying to copy Chetan Bhagat. I was travelling and wanted something to read. I ordered some books online but alas they did not arrive. So I was at the Mumbai Airport thinking what to do. When I was browsing Landmark, saw the book "Arranged Love" in the recommendation section. When I read the blurb I got interested. That is how I bought the book by chance!

When I started reading it, I was hooked to it. I smiled, l...

    Smooth read

In spite of being Parul's husband, I get to read her books only after they got published. I laid my hands on a copy last weekend, and breezed through it in a couple of hours. The pace of the book was snappy, the humor was sustained. While not autobiographical in nature, the book draws upon many of our prior experiences, and those created a connect! I particularly enjoyed the internal transformation of Suhaani - or perhaps, more a discovery than a transformation - a coming of age. Representati...

    From Michigan to Gurgaon

our 20 something "heroine" needs to return to India, because of recession in USA. Her parents have lined up matrimonial matches for her in India. Well the book essentially describes her comparison between her American boyfriend and Desi IIT matrimonial "catch"! While she is actually "two-timing",she also suffers in "moral" dilemma.ha ha ha.

Our "heroine" decides on the guy she wants to get married to without really understanding anyone of them!

Arranged Love - The best romantic comedy novel

I came across Arranged Love when I was surfin' flipkart. The moment I started reading the book, it clung to my mind. You can call it addictive too as its a fast paced story. As you complete each chapter, it instigates you to read further, a feeling which you rarely find in books. As I started dwelling in the book, I felt various emotions. The narration has been dealt so amazingly well by Mittal that one can live the character of Suhaani till the end and as you take sides of Jay/Deep you will ...

    Best of both worlds

Arranged love makes a good read giving perspective of someone who is in love and is determined not to go for arranged marriage. But circumstances change and Suhaani feels her parents' choice was indeed good.

Makes a nice read for all those who're in dilemma about arranged vs love marriage.
