She was used to being an independent woman and what was even harder for her, was to leave her handsome Indian-American boyfriend. And once she comes home, she has shocking news awaiting her. Her internet-savvy father has chosen an IIT graduate from his guitar class as their would-be son-in-law! Suhaani finds herself in deep trouble because she finds it hard to tell her father and a Farmville-addict mother about her love story. But there comes a twist when the guy chosen by Suhaani’s parents himself shows disinterest in her. Loved "Arranged Love"

I generally don't buy Indian author fiction because they all look like they are trying to copy Chetan Bhagat. I was travelling and wanted something to read. I ordered some books online but alas they did not arrive. So I was at the Mumbai Airport thinking what to do. When I was browsing Landmark, saw the book "Arranged Love" in the recommendation section. When I read the blurb I got interested. That is how I bought the book by chance!

When I started reading it, I was hooked to it. I smiled, l...

    Best of both worlds

Arranged love makes a good read giving perspective of someone who is in love and is determined not to go for arranged marriage. But circumstances change and Suhaani feels her parents' choice was indeed good.

Makes a nice read for all those who're in dilemma about arranged vs love marriage.

    racy, fast paced story

I must say the book was racy, fast paced story. Also both the central characters – Suhani and Deepak were well developed. Although the the mom is too cariacaturized, I loved the humourous but likeable character of the dad. Good humour and use of words. Overall, enjoyed reading it!

Parul makes you eat out of her hands !

The opening line of the first chapter hits you like a train and then you are hooked ! Even if you are a cynic and not impressed easily with the books. The best part is that you 'live' the character of Suhaani till the very end, a character with whom not only the generations of yesteryears but also the gen Y and Z would connect with ease. The author does not have any pretese of being literary which is quite as well because the reading is like a breath of fresh air without any heavy fragrance ...

One-time light Hearted read and a good Masala mix

I have just finished reading your new book, and wanted to write to you about my thoughts. I would just want to admit that I have been straight and blunt with my language and understanding of life lately after experiencing its realities in an different enlightening way, please bear with me and my thoughts as they are in no way to either criticize or bring down the effort of you writing a book and then managing to get it published too !!! For me this moment is a great achievement in itself and ...

A must read for the lovers of quirky humour

Loved Parul Mittal's humour. It makes you laugh heartily. Suhani is a very relatable character and this is a wonderfully wonderful story written very interestingly. Short, crisp sentences and realness of dialogues adds to the essence. Read it, loved it.

    A total 'mast' read!

When the title of the book gives away the final outcome it reflects the confidence that Author has on her craft. And true to the expectation, ‘Arranged Love’ is a piece of impeccable story telling. With no majorly complicated characters to unnecessarily convolute the plot, the story keeps tantalizing, teasing, tickling you as you read on…For those who have gone through the conflict of arranged vs. love marriage or those who went through the rigmarole of an arranged one, there is a lot to ide...

    Smooth read

In spite of being Parul's husband, I get to read her books only after they got published. I laid my hands on a copy last weekend, and breezed through it in a couple of hours. The pace of the book was snappy, the humor was sustained. While not autobiographical in nature, the book draws upon many of our prior experiences, and those created a connect! I particularly enjoyed the internal transformation of Suhaani - or perhaps, more a discovery than a transformation - a coming of age. Representati...
