Good Narrating And Language, Story Just Average

Well, I think I should give my ratings for this book taking into consideration two things
    1. Writing
    2. Story

    Let's start with writing

Well I think her language is impeccable and her narrating astounding. It's the best I have seen among Indian Authors( like Amish Tripathi, Chetan Bhagat, Ashwin Sangwi etc...)..
Her language is not completely simple like Chetan Bhagat's nor too complex which makes it an exceptionally good read for its rich and at the same time lucid language..

    Not well researched

I bought both this and the sequel. When retelling an epic, there has to be good amount of research and loose ends should be avoided. But from this book, it looks like author wants to emphasise a couple of points and some philosophy and has modified everything to just suit that. That would have been fine if good research was done and loose ends tied up.

    Very Good

When I first came across this book, I will be honest I couldn't help but compare it with the shiva trilogy. As you read on you realise the author Krishna is creative as well as beautifully descriptive with her words. You see the scenes she narrates so effectively rolling before you as she unfolds the epic in her own way. This is not a direct adaptation of the Mahabharata but the author has made significant changes to some of the characters and even names. This book in particular revolves ...

    Delightful

I received the book on day 4 and it was in a good condition. The sole reason behind ordering the book was curiosity - I had got mixed reviews about the series And, as a personal Mahabharat fan, had to check it out.

The author, on her part, has undertook a great deal of research And, let's face it - to expect a Devdutt Pattanaik level of research would be injustice. The plot is complex, no doubt, but the great array of characters that are essentially the part of the epic make it an inevitabil...
