This book by Romila Thapar was an amazing one to read..
it tells many aspects about Asoka reign and the mauryans administration. As the Mauryans were the only one to have a modern administration structure this book opens up many hidden aspects about them...i recommend it to everybody...and anybody belonging to any stream must read this book...
