Assassin’s Creed III continues the legacy of one of the greatest games of our generation. This game is actually the fifth major installment in the series and is also the direct sequel to Assassin’s Creed Revelations that came out in 2011. Gamers who have a feel for stealth games and prefer taking their enemies down quietly and tactically will love this game. This game allows you to explore America during the American Revolution, as you play Desmond’s ancestor Ratonhnhake:ton, who is half-English and half-Mohawk.
Hardcore gamers who have played the previous installments of this game will appreciate the improvements made to this installment. This action-adventure stealth game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. This version of the game is for the PC and is configured to be played using the keyboard and mouse. ESRB has given Assassin’s Creed III a rating of Mature 17+ and Pegi has rated it 18 above due to the intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and strong language present in the game.
Synopsis and Features
Assassin’s Creed III begins in the present day, with Desmond finding the Grand Temple and activating a large piece of equipment that is in some way connected to the expected events of December 21, 2012. Here Desmond bleeds away to the time of Haytham Kenway, Connor’s father. The story then switches to the story of Ratonhnhake:ton, one of the guardians of the Grand Temple. After the tragic death of his mother, Ratonhnhake:ton speaks to Juno who informs him of impending doom if he stays with the tribe. Juno shows him the symbol of the Assassins and asks him to seek his destiny with Achilles Davenport, a master assassin who will help train him.
Ratonhnhake:ton adopts the name Connor on Achilles’ suggestion and becomes a full-fledged member of the Assassin’s Brotherhood. Connor has his eyes set on killing the Colonial Templars who killed many members of his tribe. The combat system of this game has been completely revamped with new features, such as double-counters, multiple takedowns and chain kills. Another major improvement is the implementation of dual-wielding weapons which allows Connor to use two weapons at the same time to attack. New weapons include a tomahawk, flintlock, hidden blades, pistol, rope darts and the bow and arrow.
Another major improvement made is the removal of the target locking system and replacing it with the automated enemy selection system, which makes targeting multiple targets quicker and more dynamic. Assassins III is set in an open environment that allows you to freely move around. Played from a third-person perspective, your primary object would be to use your character’s skill and stealth to kill targets. Both single player and multiplayer modes are available in this game.
