Asterix: Asterix in Britain (English, Paperback, Goscinny Rene)
When a single British village finds itself up against the might of Julius Caesar, they decide to ask the Gauls for help. Asterix in Britain is the eighth adventure featuring Asterix and Obelix.
Summary of the Book
All of Britain has ceded to Julius Caesar’s wrath. The chiefs of the villages have dropped their weapons at, or near, his feet. However, one village seems to hold out against the siege. Julius Caesar is not a happy man. He’s only too familiar with this situation in a rather unfortunate country. Despite what he wants history to be written as, he has yet to conquer Gaul. One village holds out against him there as well. Thankfully, the British counterpart boasts no supernatural magic potion like that of the Gauls’. But Julius might not be able to trust his luck, for it too can betray him. The British feel the pressure of the Roman onslaught and decide to call upon their Gaulish counterparts for some well-deserved help in the form of a druid and his worthy allies, the indomitable Gauls, Asterix and Obelix.
