Summary of the Book

Chief Whosemoralsarelastix has only one priority in life. He wants money, and a lot of it. He goes to Vitalstatistix for help when Caesar’s tax collectors come to him to collect, and Vitalstatistix is more than happy to oblige. Asterix is tasked with keeping watch over the cauldron containing the money, but when the money vanishes, Asterix is banished from the village, forbidden to return until he manages to pay the Chief back. Can Asterix find the money in time to restore Vitalstatistix’s honour?
