Description

An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth is Colonel Chris Hadfield’s autobiography. The book is about his experiences of the time he spent in space and the different kinds of training he went through as an astronaut.

Summary

In An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth, Col. Hadfield takes the readers for a journey through his years of training and space exploration. He recalls an instance when had to break into a space station with a Swiss army knife, throw a live snake out of a plane while flying it, and was temporarily blinded while hanging from the exterior of an orbiting spacecraft. The secret to Hadfield's success and survival is a philosophy he learned at NASA, “prepare for the worst and enjoy every moment of it”.

In this book, Col. Hadfield very beautifully describes his different experiences. The stories are mesmerizing and thoroughly entertaining as Col. Hadfield goes on about the wonder of space walks and his adventures in space.

It may not provide detailed technical information about spacecrafts and orbital mechanics but what it will give you is an eye to another world. A paradise f...
