ASUS delivers a great laptop for a great price. The built-quality is just what ASUS is famous for. I am happy that I now have a quality alternative to the crapy Dell and HP laptops.
Usually laptop optical drives are not very good. ASUS takes care of this with a stellar DVD drive.

This product is amazing in terms of price. This is good for web surfing, office computing, playing movies and normal work. In this price range, its a good product with solid build quality.

At this price, Do NOT expect this laptop to be used for high end gaming or heavy softwares/programming.

Battery backup is 5 hours in the first week of usage. Design is sleek and smart.

i wanted something under 20k which could play full hd videos,and has a good battery backup.and this does just that!!! Before going to purchase this laptop, i have searched a lot in internet in many websites. But i was not satisfied. I have seen advanced laptops also. But not satisfied.

Finally i came to a decision to purchase this product. If it is not good i may lost little amount. If it is good, then i will be happy.. like wise i was estimated and purchased.

And after purchase i have added another 2GB RAM to this. Now it is working superb. No advanced laptop can parallel to this.

This product is great value for money. It has all the ports including a slot for SD cards.

The delivery by Flipkart was superfast. Got the product in 4 days.

Installed vista initially. Drivers for vista are not officially available. Windows 7 and 8 drivers are available officially. Upgraded to windows 8 pro for Rs 1999. Offer available only till 31st January. You may even buy a windows 8 pro from Flipkart for 3500.

Bought this one few weeks back and it's a nice one for office applications, playing movies, this might not be good for processor intensive applications like photoshop, video encoding.
You can install Windows XP by changing BIOS settings and you can use the XP drivers of Asus K53U.
Design and build quality are good.
Nice laptop for daily usage.

I bought this from ASUS Computer shop about an year ago, used for 6-8 months then I sold it. I wanna say, its a wow laptop if anyone just wanna buy a full-fledged laptop with everything a Laptop comes with, like Processor, Motherboard, display, screen, mouse, keyboard etc etc.. Now if You asking about performance then still I say its a wow laptop, if your limits end with office 2003, tally 6.x, Email & Internet browsing, 2007' before games, etc..etc..

overall this product is very good. for home user who just want to surf n watch movie,music etc... just go for it. battery backup is also good more then 3 hours. there is just one problem is that there is just 1 ghz clock speed.
