<br/><b>Tadataka Yamada, MD</b> is President of the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation Global Health Program, where he leads the foundation&#8217;s efforts to apply technological solutions to the healthcare problems of the developing world. Dr. Yamada was chairman of R&amp;D at GlaxoSmithKline from 2001-2006, and joined the company&#8217;s Board in 2004. Previously, he was Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School and Physician-in-Chief of the University of Michigan Medical Center.
