Summary of the Book
Briony Tallis sees something happen between her sister, Cecilia, and Robbie Turner unexpectedly. Robbie and Cecilia have crossed a limit that will scar young Briony’s imagination, eventually leading her to commit a felony that she would regret later. What Briony witnesses and thinks of as a crime has dire impact on the lives of all the three during the time. As a consequence, she might have to spend the rest of her life trying to apologize. Atonement was made into an Oscar-winning film starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy.
