Milan Sonka, Vaclav Hlavac and Roger Boyle’s Image Processing, Analysis, and Machine Vision is a comprehensive book on various concepts of Image Processing. The book comprises of topics like the properties of image, data structures employed in Image Analysis, Image Pre-processing, Image Understanding, Image Data Compression, Segmentation, 3D Vision, Shape representation and description and other such topics. It covers these these concepts extensively, and is hence a brilliant guide for not only undergraduate students but also post graduate students, and teachers and researchers as well. The book is essential for Computer Science and Information Science students, for whom this subject holds much significance.
