Why is there a shipping charge for this item?

Sellers with Flipkart Assured waive off the delivery charge for Orders over Rs 500. For Orders under Rs 500, a nominal delivery charge is added per item.

Sellers without Flipkart Assured may or may not add a delivery charge to your Order. This is subject to Seller discretion.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Sellers generally procure and ship the items within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays.

Estimated delivery time depends on the following factors:

      • The Seller offering the product
      • Product's availability with the Seller
      • The destination to which you want the order shipped to and the Seller's location

Why does the delivery date not correspond to the delivery timeline of X-Y business days?

It is possible that the Seller or our courier partners observe a holiday between the day you placed your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored in to the delivery dates.

What do the different tags like 'In Stock', 'Available' mean?

      'In Stock'

Products‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

Products listed as ‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

Sometimes, items have to be sourced by Sellers from outside India. These items are mentioned as 'Imported' on the product page and can take at least 10 days or more to be delivered to you.

      'Back In Stock Soon'

The item is popular and is sold out. You can however 'book' an order for the product and it will be shipped according to the timelines mentioned by the Seller.

      'Temporarily Unavailable'

The product is currently out of stock and is not available for purchase. The product could to be in stock soon. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know when it is available for purchase.

      'Out of Print'

This product is not available because it is no longer published and has been permanently discontinued.

Why does the estimated delivery time vary for each seller?

Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time-to-deliver to your location.

Please enter your default pin code on the product page to know more accurate delivery times on the product page itself.

Seller does not/cannot ship to my area. Why?

Enter your pincode on the product page to know whether the product can be delivered to your location.

If you haven't provided your pincode until the checkout stage, the pincode in your last used shipping address will be used to check for serviceability.

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on:

      • Whether the Seller actually ships to your location
      • Legal restrictions, if any, in shipping particular products to your location
      • The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

At times Sellers prefer not to ship to certain locations. This is entirely at their discretion.

Autobiography Of A Yogi is one of the most well-known works on yoga and meditation, and provides a detailed look into Indian spirituality through the narration of Paramahamsa Yogananda.

    Summary Of The Book

Autobiography Of A Yogi by Paramahamsa Yogananda is not just his life’s history, but an account of his spiritual journey and his trysts with people who inspired and influenced his life.

The author’s spiritual quest started early in life, as he was always curious about what lay beyond mere bodily existence. His interest in spirituality and his pursuits down this path introduced him to a number of Indian saints and gurus, and even famous international personalities, the details of which he has put down quite candidly in this book.

In this text, Paramahamsa Yogananda has written about one such guru, Lahiri Mahasaya, in detail. He has also written about his quest to find his own guru, which culminated in his meeting Sri Yukteshwar, who, in turn, was himself a disciple of Lahiri Mahasaya. Yogananda later spent many years in the ashram of his guru, and was trained in Yoga and spiritual knowledge. He spent years mastering a branch of Yoga called Kriya Yoga. Yogananda later taught this practice to the western world.

He explains his relationship with his guru, and his experiences at the hermitage in detail. Many chapters in the book are devoted to explaining the phenomenon of miracles that are recorded in all regions, across the world. He also attempts to explain the underlying science behind these events. Yogananda later moved to the United States of  America (USA) and he lived there, teaching yoga and meditation to the people there.

In the book Autobiography of a Yogi, the author also recounts his interesting encounters with renowned people like Mahatma Gandhi, Luther Burbank, Rabindranath Tagore, Therese Neumann, Jagadish Chandra Bose, Sir C.V. Raman, and Ramana Maharishi. The book is an absorbing read, and it is written in his unique and candid style.

    About Paramahamsa Yogananda

Paramahamsa Yogananda was an Indian guru and Yoga master who is credited with introducing the western countries to the discipline of Yoga.
His other books include Metaphysical Meditations, Man’s Eternal Quest, Scientific Healing Affirmations, Law of Success, How You Can Talk With God, and The Bhagavad Gita: God Talks With Arjuna.

He was born in Uttar Pradesh, India, in 1893. His lifelong quest for spiritual enlightenment is recounted in his famous book, Autobiography of a Yogi. He spent decades in America teaching meditation and Kriya Yoga to his disciples. He attained Mahasamadhi in the year 1952, at the age of 59.

    This is who you are

The first time I read this book, I could not go beyond 4 pages. It felt so bloody dry. Then some years later I picked it up and finished it within days!

If feel that books like this come into your life when they want to and not the other way round. Each time I have read it, I get something else for my life.

Its a book that doesnt tell you what the people in the book have done, but its a short collection of stories to tell each and everyone of us about all that we are capable of.
