Mesmerizing book
I read Autobiography of a yogi and Yogi Kathamrit books in English and Hindi respectively. And both versions are equally mesmerizing. To know India better, one should definitely read this book.
Since book is available in many languages, start with language you are most comfortable with because some of the spiritual words are better understood.
