Naming the review title after the protagonist, Calvin Dexter, born and brought up in New Jersey, is worth the flamboyancy!

    Fast-paced thriller...

As typical of master storey-teller Frederick Forsyth, this book takes the reader from US to war-ravaged Bosnia and finally to the country-sides of a small country in Latin America...with ease. Written in a gripping and lucid style, with amazing minute details, it's an outstanding thriller. The last part of the novel is slightly dramatic and could have been handled in a more subtle manner - in my view. Nevertheless one would love to read this fast-paced thriller..

    A Good book

The story basically is about Cal Dexter, Who is lives his life as as an attorney general in US. Forsyth has brilliantly portrayed the image of Avenger, the tunnel rat who was in Vietnam. The story becomes predictable in the later half of the book, but the methods adopted by Avenger is sometimes unimaginable. The book is really interesting and a good read.

    Avenger

Good book n great time pass..completed the book in 4 hours straight though sub plots were better than the actual plot which just gets over in a puff without our hero breaking any sweat... well after reading the day of the jackal (which i read 2 months ago only) the expectation from Frederick Forsyth is just too much and i have read 3 other novels of him but nothing compares to the day of the jackal...
