Why is there a shipping charge for this item?

Sellers with Flipkart Assured waive off the delivery charge for Orders over Rs 500. For Orders under Rs 500, a nominal delivery charge is added per item.

Sellers without Flipkart Assured may or may not add a delivery charge to your Order. This is subject to Seller discretion.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Sellers generally procure and ship the items within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays.

Estimated delivery time depends on the following factors:

      • The Seller offering the product
      • Product's availability with the Seller
      • The destination to which you want the order shipped to and the Seller's location

Why does the delivery date not correspond to the delivery timeline of X-Y business days?

It is possible that the Seller or our courier partners observe a holiday between the day you placed your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored in to the delivery dates.

What do the different tags like 'In Stock', 'Available' mean?

      'In Stock'

Products‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

      'Available'

Products listed as ‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

      'Preorder' or 'Forthcoming'

The product is not released yet. You can however ‘book’ an order for this. Shipping happens only after the product launch.

      'Out of Stock'

Currently, the item is not available for sale. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know once it is available for purchase.

      'Imported'

Sometimes, items have to be sourced by Sellers from outside India. These items are mentioned as 'Imported' on the product page and can take at least 10 days or more to be delivered to you.

      'Back In Stock Soon'

The item is popular and is sold out. You can however 'book' an order for the product and it will be shipped according to the timelines mentioned by the Seller.

      'Temporarily Unavailable'

The product is currently out of stock and is not available for purchase. The product could to be in stock soon. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know when it is available for purchase.

      'Permanently Discontinued'

This product is no longer available because it is obsolete and/or its production has been discontinued.

      'Out of Print'

This product is not available because it is no longer published and has been permanently discontinued.

Why does the estimated delivery time vary for each seller?

Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time-to-deliver to your location.

Please enter your default pin code on the product page to know more accurate delivery times on the product page itself.

Seller does not/cannot ship to my area. Why?

Enter your pincode on the product page to know whether the product can be delivered to your location.

If you haven't provided your pincode until the checkout stage, the pincode in your last used shipping address will be used to check for serviceability.

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on:

      • Whether the Seller actually ships to your location
      • Legal restrictions, if any, in shipping particular products to your location
      • The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

At times Sellers prefer not to ship to certain locations. This is entirely at their discretion.

    Not worth it

This is very poorly written book....not much efforts are put in or atleast I believe so....plot is also sagging, climax is also not so good....does not fall in any of the marquee author...language is poor or doesnot evoke attachment to the characters...language is cold...humour is flat and out of nowhere...Characters are not in sync with what they should be...I finished reading thinking that may be in the end author would redeem himself...but one of the worst book on this genre...

Bali and the Ocean of Milk

Quite fascinating book would recommend all to read and enjoy. Based on mythology, spiced with humor and politics which is quite interesting. Would not be surprised if some producer takes this up and makes a fantastic movie out of it.

    nothing great about this book

I had some very high expectation from this book considering that I do read a lot of Indian authors and translations of works by regional language writers. This was a total disappointment. Its a work of fiction but without any research. I expected the author to have done some basic research as he was dealing with mythological characters.

I normally dont write reviews, however forced myself as I thought I should avoid people from wasting their money on this book.

    Storytelling is back....

A delightful read that takes you back to a time when one would read books and get involved with the stories and characters. The book has all the ingredients of good story telling. Nilanjan manages to bring the quintessential story telling back into focus, which has been missing with some of the recent writers in India. Great Work!
Characters are well etched out and woven with a well-defined storyline. The appeal lies in the fact that the writing is easy going and fluid without trying to i...

    Heady concoction!

Started and finished the book in not more than couple of seatings! Extremely riveting from start to finish. The title suggested a shashi tharoor kind of spoof on Indian mythology but as other reviews also suggest, it turned out to be more than a heady concoction of drama, action, thrill, corporate games, political plays in the context of Indian mythos. Spectacular read indeed! Coming on back of my latest reads - Devdutt Patnaiks' clinical analysis of Indian mithya and Mahabharat, this one pro...

    Hilarious action packed narration

When i first saw the poster of this book i thought it would be one of those epic kind of thing that we get to see time and again.

But after the first few pages i just couldnt stop myself reading it at one stretch and that's exactly what i did overnight. Can't believe that a first time author can actually keep the whole book racy and never boring. Trust Nilanjan to keep up the pace and give the readers a delightful tale of devas and asuras, their greed for power and corruption. And what's even...

    Delightful

Nilanjan Choudhury weaves an absolute delight here. A wonderful tale about Gods and Asuras with innumerable contemporary political references and several wink wink nudge nudge moments, the book is a must read. Unless you are a 'don't mess with mythology' or 'don't joke about the gods' type of a person, this one is a must read... The conclusion could have been grander with a bigger battle, but it is still great as it is...

A 'must read' by a first time author!!

Bali and the Ocean of Milk by Nilanjan P Choudhury is an interesting cocktail of mythology, political drama, humour, satire, basic human nature (greed for power, loyalty and betrayal). The characterization and relation to the present day political drama is realistic yet rib tickling. The plot unfolds in a manner that one wants to read till the last page is turned. It is a book written with 'TLC' (tender loving care). Keep up the great work !! I would like to read more books written by Nilanjan.
