Good book, written with roller coaster speed, worth a read

1st thing 1st, I haven't bought this from flipkart and just pick it as random choice from a book store. Despite of lesser star given by goodreads.com (3 star i guess), I thought of to give this one a try.
Pros :
- Well try was not at all bad, I was not sure if it happen the way writer narrates the story or some other way but on the whole a good book which worth a read.
- All characters build, showed in a proper way that reader won't regret on anything.
Cons :
- 2 charater tara and her male in...

Bali and the Ocean of Milk

Quite fascinating book would recommend all to read and enjoy. Based on mythology, spiced with humor and politics which is quite interesting. Would not be surprised if some producer takes this up and makes a fantastic movie out of it.

Brilliant read

Go and buy the book NOW! Yes, you heard me, buy it NOW. This is nothing like Meluha but it is everything that anyone who enjoyed Meluha would enjoy. This is something that any open minded Indian would like and anyone from around the world with a good sense of humour would like. A book worth reading….

Bali and the Ocean of Milk

This is a fantastic first time effort. The language is lucid and entertaining...the allegory execptional, however what I liked most is vivid imagination...hats off !

The author has almost created a new category - mytho-Orwellian !

Hillarious yet thought provoking

I completely enjoyed reading this book, its an absolute page turner. Its a refreshing take on one of our mythology's well known stories.I loved the humor that is maintained through the book although the story is filled with deceit, greed and murders. It made me laugh and think at the same time.

Bali and the Ocean of Milk by Nilanjan P Choudhury

Firts of all, knowing the author well, I was pleasantly surprised at the topic. No management gyan, no hi-fi intellectual stuff from an IIT/IIM alumnus who has spend years in corporate life !! After reading, i am convinced its like it should be. This is full blown entertaining and masala novel. Quentin Tarantinoesqe in narrative and would give a Wilbur Smith a runs for its money. Enjoyed reading it. Funny, witty, and unputdownalble. Full paisa vasool. Ladies and Gents we have a new Thrillerm...

Hilarious action packed narration

When i first saw the poster of this book i thought it would be one of those epic kind of thing that we get to see time and again.

But after the first few pages i just couldnt stop myself reading it at one stretch and that's exactly what i did overnight. Can't believe that a first time author can actually keep the whole book racy and never boring. Trust Nilanjan to keep up the pace and give the readers a delightful tale of devas and asuras, their greed for power and corruption. And what's even...

Bali and the Ocean of Milk

Frothy manthan, indeed!

You would love it for the following, at least I did!
Its humor, even in somber moments.
Its gripping pace, just when you are beginning to feel that things are sobering down in the three worlds!
Its anecdotal tributes to some of our childhood heroes, books and comics!

You wished the author has not rushed through on some sections, you certainly wish Indrah was less of a Tricksie Turncoat, his redemption was almost Bollywoodish!

But you certainly would wish that the...

Ok, but hasty ending spoils some fun

Started like a 5 star meal, in between became dhaba fare and towards the end it was complete fast food from roadside stall..

He he!!! In other words, its a really good book, I absolutely recommend it.. But its not a great book thought it started with a potential to be one...

Jai veru, jai samba ;)
