    Description
It is 2020. Bangalore is dead.
"Bangalored" has changed its meaning over the years since the first time it was used in 2004 US Presidential elections, when it meant someone losing a job over outsourcing. Now, in 2020, that Bangalore is dying a slow, painful death caused by its own custodians. Corruption, greed, land grab, traffic, water crisis, un-professional work ethics, unfriendly investment environment is leading it to its obvious end.

Yash Deshpande comes to Bangalore to seek answers to the secrets behind his father's sudden death. His father, Sid Deshpande, was a software entrepreneur who successfully sold his company in the US. This was the company that he set up in Bangalore in 2004 before moving to the Bay Area in 2015.

Yash comes across his Dad's digital diary that slowly opens up his Dad's struggle and success of setting up a technology company in the 'Silicon Valley of the east'. Yash finds new companions to unearth the mystery behind the death while slowly starts loving the city that he once hated. And then, he gets Bangalored!

We discuss corruption, indiscipline, lack of ethics, aggression, violence on a daily basis!
We are aghast at the aggression shown by regular traffic!
We worry about the future of our city, our culture!

Sanjay brings these aspects very well in a simple weaving of a story!

    Nice Quick Read

The story is good with a very different look at what could go wrong with this city in the not-so-far future. The characters are very believable for anyone who has been in this city long enough. Overall, Bangalored is a nice quick read.

Also appreciate that the proceeds from the sale of this book go to charity.

    Bangalored slowly consumes you

I did not buy it. I just picked it up from a friend over the weekend as I was getting bored.
It started slow and dark showing a 'dead' Bangalore in 2020. That shook me.

It slowly opened up one window after another and slowly consumed me in. I read the whole book over the weekend. Everything that we have seen/feel on a daily basis are there be it traffic, or water or jumping jobs. All of that in a well knit story. It was a quick 101 for anyone starting a tech startup as well.

    It has a sweet...
