Grant Morrison's Time And The Batman is a graphic novel starring the Dark Knight.

    Summary of the Book

There always has been a Batman, there always will be a Batman. Beginning with Bruce Wayne, Grant Morrison's pivotal work on the Dark Knight's mythos showcases how the original Caped Crusader matched wits with his loyal sidekick Robin, Dick Grayson, at his side as he fought off the criminally insane such as the Joker, Penguin and Scarecrow. The menaces kidnap Batman and Robin and put them in a time torture device, one invented by a Professor Nichols. Batman and Robin escape their would-be captors and note that the machine could be used for their gain. Years later, Dick is the new Batman now that Bruce is dead, and he returns to the lab with Damian, Bruce's son and the new Robin, only to find the professor dead inside it. The professor has aged more than he should have, being 80 when he was merely 60. In the future, Damian is Batman and meet Professor Nichols once again, and this time he doesn't relent until he finds out how the professor died. In his journey he sees the truth, that there always has been a Batman and there always will be a Batman. Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Damian Wayne or Terry McGinnis, the name has never mattered. Only the cowl matters, and only the fear that it strikes into the hearts of criminals.

    A very Dark knight

I don't write reviews, almost never. This time, I am.
I'm a self confessed Batman fanatic, not just because he's very cool, not just because he has that mask, that cape, the batmobile, the spangled bat on his chest, or billions of dollars. Its his psyche that draws me in, his motivations, his moral ambiguity, his machine like modus operandi. This classic by Frank Miller, is the best medium that brings the dark of Batman into light. It surpasses the Nolan trilogy, pretty much any piece of art...

    Gotham is now under Batman!

Excellent plot, amazing dialog, simple but deep artwork and overall a masterpiece by frank miller. This is probably my most favorite batman graphic novel and is a perfect example of how a book(a comic) can deliver good stuff to the audience in a better way than a full movie could have.
    The Dark knight rises!Must buy!

the true magic of dark knight returns...

THE DARK KNIGHT returns have too many aspects that should be brought into light...
1-if you try to assume that the DARK KNIGHT novel is not a fiction and it’s just collection of some random incidents and their news reports that are happening around us, you will be truly lost in its environment. Very-very detailed...
2-if you think of it like some movie, you will be completely amazed by its speed and smooth transitions with perfect movie graph. I think it’s like having a 3D effect on a paper.....

    classic|!!!!

The plot is really good .THE story can be divided into two parts first two chapters and last two chapters. The colouring in the first part and nearly two thirds in the second part are very light.IF you are a fast paced reader read the first two chapters twice .THE usage of WORDS in the first two chapters are very good.it is definitely a classic .

    A landmark Batman graphic novel

The year was 1986. Modestly priced at $2.95 per issue,a four-part Batman story was published by DC comics, which was collected one year later as "Batman: The dark knight returns". Till today, considered one of the most important events in the "Batman" canon and the Comic book industry as a whole, the story shows an old Bruce Wayne returning as Batman after ten years (and the Joker coming out of a vegetative state....). The story is mature, fast-paced , dark and gripping. Frank Miller begins t...
