    not for everyone

the book is too complicated!!!! and the ingredients of the recipes given ,impossible to get in small cities. thus defeating the entire purpose! :/
a LOT of name dropping... which gets very annoying after a point.
i wouldn't recommend this book to anyone except those who can source the ingredients.

Too difficult to follow for a common man

The book was no doubt intresting as you got to know about new food stuff like chia seeds, amaranth roti's .But the major problem lies in where to get them. Tried fab India too , they did not what I was asking for . Also switching to nut milk instead of cow milk isimmposible . In Delhi foods likee sesame seed milk, bajra rotis is not a good idea as they are very warm foods and with temp running above 40 degrees here, I do not think it is wise to have them . I suggest you read : Rujuta Diwaka...

    Too Complicated

The book is too complicated and the ingredients mentioned in the book are very difficult to find and include in your daily diet. Also concepts like " go dairy free" may not work in India. The recipes are easy to follow only if you cna find the ingredients .. :\ At the end of it you understand why she sends cooked food to celbs from the kitchen because it is super difficult to find and make things she suggests on her own. Not recommended.

    Fabulous book Shonali.

Shonali Your patience and sincerity in writing the book is much appreciated. Ya the ingredients are different as the way people are cribbing here. But most of the things are known to us like millets, ragi, jowar, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds are all avaialble. quinoa, miso, etc are not available. But you can still make sauerkraut. Try to start with whatever you can get, I am sure, you can make a green vegetable juice and drink at home.
Most of the vegetables are available even in small towns. S...

    A revolutionary diet

    I simply loved the book!
It opened my eyes to a lot of myths I used to believe regarding
    -milk
    -sugar
    -greens etc
I loved the way Shonali has explained the diet. It was difficult in the starting to implement the macrobiotic approach in which the food was made, but after a thorough 2nd reading, I was slowly able to incorporate the basic recipes like for example the brown rice salad.
This diet eases me down, makes me more active and surprisingly it has made my skin supple and glowing..! My acn...
