I bought this book together with Dream Weaver CS5 the Missing Manual and started learning designing from scratch..Now after three Months. I can hand code HTML also I can easily customize my pages using advanced CSS techniques....

It is a great book if you are looking to enhance your skills and get into web designing. Simply written and thoughtful examples, yet to finish it but whatever I've gone through it is very helpful indeed.

If you are starting with XHTML and have no past experience, this is a really good reference book.
It explains everything in a very clean language and also comes with great examples.
Best Part is that, it gives you assignment on every topic you read and all web page assignment are connected to each other, So at the end you will have you Sample WEBSITE with every element you read about in the book.

Learnt the basics very well. Perfectly written in simple language and graphical illustrations. A few typographical mistakes can be found but you would realize that when you read. Planning to buy advanced version of css and html now.
