great book

its a great book,clear and lucid explanation.content wise very much satisfactory.examples are great.i would surely recommend it for beginners or anyone struggling to understand topics such as semaphores,multithreading,mutex,shared memory,linux shell scripting.the previous edition had a chapter on device drivers,which had been omitted in this edition.nevertheless one can get the ebook of the previous edition.

Great for Begginers

if you are looking at this book.. then surely you know something abot linux and want to know something more... and you should be comfortable with some terminologies.
i am rating the book according to the topics it covers
1. Intro 6/10
2. Shell Scripting 6.5/10
3. Terminals, DAtabase,MySQL 7/10
4. IPC, Sytem Programming (user Space) 8.5/10
5. Gnome using GTK+ 8/10
6. KDE using QT. (not much of a KDE fan, so i didnt read it)

Content of book is awesome but the books are pivated ... Not Genuine

I read the book its must have book.
But the quality of pages is very poor. One should have to take extra care of It.
I received this book from WsRetails they are selling pirated books because i went to market an compare it with the one which i received.
