I am not very sure about how to use the ethernet etc. But cable length is as mentioned, it was just enough for my requirement, earlier one I had was 1.5 and it was not enough for me. The head is quite thick, and I had to drill a new 32mm hole :) quality of video I am not sure if this made it better. I will do some more investigation and update.

Its totally amazing. Does everything it says on the box and transmits 1080p signal flawlessly. I would have bought the 5m variant if it had been priced lower but for now this will just suffice.
The cable is thick and the video does not stutter even at FHD, if it does probably some problem with the video source and not the cable.

Pros:
- Product quality and build is great (Lives up to its expectation, considering that its a belkin you can rest assured that its not a cheap imitation of a quality product, for me the cable build quality is more important than if its gold plated or not)
- Used with ease to pair a HP Pavilion laptop to a videocon DDB tv.
- 2M (6+ feet) are more than enough for a normal user like me.
