this is the best router +modem i have come across in a long tiering search...it has amazing range and easy to install.....kudos to the belkin ppl....this is actually that good.

I was using belkin surf wireless router for past 3 years without any issue and decided to upgrade my router for better wifi coverage/dual band/with modem.

After searching for days, i decided to but this router.

Cons:

Range: Wifi signals are very weak when it comes to wall penetration, i get only 1/2 bars in my next room. Tried placing the router at height/in the centre of my flat(1600 sqm).

Dont know where to start:

1) 2.4 Ghz connection just disappears from the wifi zone. No trace unless I restart the modem.
2) wifi range is worse than my 8 year old beetle modem.
3) too many disconnection from the internet. Problem went away when I just changed back to my old modem.

Gets excessively hot with just 1 hr of operation. Can't use as Router even. Now using it as a modem and connected a plain router to get internet.

Have already asked Flipkart to refund.

Can't connect more than 6-7 devices at a same time which a Rs. 1000 dlink router can easily do. Bad product from Belkin. Really slow router.
