Asif Currimbhoy is "India's first authentic voice in the theatre". He is the one modern Indian playwright who has shown great interest in producing drams. Among the very few Indian dramatics writing plays in English, he has made his debut as a dramatist for the stage. His twenty nine plays are first and foremost meant for the stage and he brilliantly succeeds in producing "actable" plays. The aim of the present volume is to make a close and analytical study of his selected plays, laying stress on their artistic excellence and theatrical vitality. The present book is the first critical studies of the plays of Asif Currimbhoy. It is useful for the readers and researchers of Indian English drama.
