    R. M. Lala’s Beyond the Last Blue Mountain is an excellent recount of the life of one of India’s best minds and entrepreneurs J. R. D. Tata.

    Summary of the Book

Beyond the Last Blue Mountain is an extensive and extraordinary biography of India’s greatest and most valued industrialist. Written with J.R.D. Tata's mutual aid, this superb biography tells the splendid life story of J.R.D. - from his birth to 1993, the year in which he passed away in Switzerland. The biography is divided into four parts: Part I covers the early years - from J.R.D's birth in France in the year 1904 to his attainment of the chairmanship of the Tata’s, India's biggest industrial company, at the age young age of thirty-four. Part II describes his remarkable forty-six years in Indian aviation, which also happened to be the lifelong passion of J.R.D. It led to the beginning of the Indian aviation industry and its enduring progress to become one of our country’s success stories. Part III of the book illuminates his vast half-century-long period as the exceptional personality of Indian industry. Part IV uncovers some previously unknown facts about the public figure, yet a private man, including a few glimpses of his long relationships with people like Nehru, Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and other celebrities in India and abroad. Beyond the Last Blue Mountain will certainly leave you inspired forever.
