Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Bhoothnath Returns is sequel to Bhoothnath and stars 3-time National Film Award-winner Amitabh Bachchan of Sholay fame, Parth Bhalerao, Boman Irani and Anurag Kashyap. Following Bhoothnath’s immense failure of not being able to scare children on Earth in the prequel, Bhoothnath comes back to the mortal realm to be successful in his mission after he is mocked in the ghost world. After returning to the land of the living, Bhoothnath forms an unexpected friendship with a kid named Akhrot. Akhrot helps Bhoothnath scare other children, while Bhoothnath helps Akhrot impress his friends and become more popular in his friends circle. Eventually, Bhoothnath contends against a corrupt politician a in governmental election after being prompted by Akhrot.
