As kids, the desire to be grown up occurs to almost every individual. But what if it happens overnight in a case where one doesn't go through the regular course of growth? Big (1988), directed by Penny Marshall, starrs Tom Hanks, Elizabeth Perkins and Robert Loggia. The movie centers around Josh, a young boy of twelve, who visits a fair where he makes a wish at the magic wish machine. He simply wishes to be much older. Little does he know that when he wakes up the next morning, he is transformed into an adult man. However, he is still 12 on the inside. Now that he is older, he must cope up with the new-found changes, understand the adult world and experience even romance. Weaving elements of comedy, drama and fantasy, Big is an engaging movie.
