This title depicts the life of Kalpana Chawla, who was the first Indian-American astronaut and first Indian woman in space. She was a part of the Space Shuttle Columbia crew that first flew in 1997. She was a mission specialist and primary robotic arm operator. On an unfortunate day in 2003, Chawla passed away with the other six crew members in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. This book talks about her achievements and the vital role she played in the mission, concluding with her unfortunate passing.
