One concern is this, The antivirus says its compatible with windows 7 but when i installed the same, it didnt, i had to download the setup from the internet and then used the cd key to activate the license, but seems like the dvd is not compatible with windows 7.

Gets 4 stars because it gave a lot of hassles while installing. However the Bitdefender helpline guy was very helpful and finally it was installed after an ordeal that lasted 5 hours!! Now to the working: amazing detection, it detects viruses that Quick Heal couldnt detect. Silent security, hasslefree upgrades, eats up some RAM but forgivable given the level of security it provides. You can even go to infected sites and Bitdefender will stop all malware, pop ups, everything sinister. Its cons...

Bitdefender gets good reviews every year which is why I purchased this a year ago.
Installation isn't smooth especially if you're not tech savvy. In case the CD doesn't work then opt for a usb installation and things should go on smoothly.
Updates and scans are regular and it usually detects most viruses. The gamer mode is a plus point as you don't have to monitor everything yourself. The application takes care of many things for you.

I'm using this antivirus more than 1 year even its not registered, im fully satisfied..
and Its only antivirus worth i've ever seen..
It runs perfect with windows 7.(I am having 2GB RAM N 320 GB HDD)
To avoid errors n speed problem I recommend you to install it after a fresh boot.
If your pc is overloaded with apps than its obviously takes a load.
I recommend this product other than kaspersky/norton/QUICKHEAL:p/avg...etc...

This is the best antivirus in the market:)...
It's quiet protector, even "eset nod" boasts itself calm... Bitdefender is more calm in protection...
Easy user interface...
Anti-spyware gives additional protection...
Unlike kaspersky and other security suite, in bitdefender each and every process runs at the background...
Go for it without any other research if you're using 32 bit operating system:):)...

able to download but computer becomes so slow
able to download but computer becomes so slow and after restart i m not able to start my windows ,then i hv to go to safe mode and uninstall the bitdefender, then after i can start my windows ,its happeninf for the last 4 days and 10 times .contacting websites they doesnt validate 2012 antivirus.grieved user
