It's definitely loud. 30w speaker gives good loud sound. I upgraded from boat stone 600 to this. Bass is also good but can feel a little distortion on good bass songs.
Rugged, heavy overall best in range.
I used to like the sound in boat stone 600 during power on when it says- "Power On, you pluggged in to Nirvana" and on blutooth pairing " you are now connected to boat stone 600" also "Battery low".
All this is missing in this model it's just a simple beep tone for all notifications.

its very nice design and good bulid speaker from house of boat. sounds are very clear and turn to high volumes there no quality lost. the speaker is not an 360 sound rasio but is not problem for the ones who serching for a high quality speaker like boat stone 1401. only __ve feel there is no full battery warning indicator in this product.

Battery backup was told to be 8 hours. But i didnt get a backup of even 6 hours
