Borderlands 2 is the sequel to the highly successful Borderlands and like the original, this game also delivers in lighthearted juvenile fun that can be shared with your friends. Synopsis and Features
Borderlands 2 takes place 5 years after the events of the first Borderlands game. Since the defeat of the alien abomination known as The Destroyer in the original Borderlands, a valuable mineral called Eridium started flourishing through Pandora's crust. Handsome Jack, then a member of the Hyperion Corporation realizes the potential of this resource and uses it to take over the corporation. Handsome Jack now rules the inhabitants of Pandora from his massive satellite located in front of the moon.
The game begins with four Vault Hunters left to die in the frozen wasteland. Only one of the Vault Hunters survive with a little help from the last Claptrap unit. Like in the original Borderlands, the Guardian Angel contacts the lone surviving Vault Hunter and informs him that they are there to help. The Angel advises him to keep the Claptrap unit safe and travel to Sanctuary, which is the stronghold of the resistance movement, the Crimson Raiders. Once you are inducted into the ranks of the Crimson Raiders, you first mission is to assist in rescuing Roland, the leader of the Raiders. Here you get to meet Firehawk, who is really Lilith, a vault hunter from the first part of this game series. Later, it become evident that Handsome Jack is looking for the second larger vault, which contains a powerful warrior that can be controlled by whoever opens it.
Built upon the successful gameplay elements introduced in Borderlands, this game is a first-person shooter that has role-playing elements. Select one of the four characters available to start the game. Each character is proficient in certain types of weapons and they possess unique special skills that make them versatile in different combat situations. Pick up quests on from non-playable characters and bounty boards to get going. Complete the quest and hand them in to claim your reward in the form of money, experience points and sometimes a special item. Collect experience points by killing your enemies and handing in completed quests.
The artificial intelligence of this game has been drastically improved with enemy units being intelligent enough to use their surrounding to their advantage while fighting. This exciting game features a procedural-generated loot system that can generate weapons that are unique due to factors such as damage, accuracy, magazine size and added fire power in the form of elemental damage. Downloadable content has been made available for this game in order to enhance the game's playability and storyline.

A sequel to Borderlands, Borderlands 2 is an action role-playing game that is essentially a first-person shooter. It offers the single-player, multiplayer and co-op modes of play, so you can also team up with your friends and take the fight to random enemies.
Pick and play as one of 4 characters who have unique moves and skill trees. Find and hoard randomly generated loot (shields, weapons, etc.) as you battle it out with malicious enemies to complete missions. Additions to this edition of Borderlands include a trading system during multiplayer, new E-tech weaponry and much more.
This game received a rating of 18 from PEGI.
