Best book on C++ that will give you handy tactics
The book is all about examples. Which to me, is the best way of learning. Not only does it explain these example as code snippets, but also guides you on what to do, to become a smart programmer. This is a must have for anyone who wants to improve their coding styles

Better than your average C programming book
PROS:
All concepts of C are explained very well.
A great book for learning Standard Template Libraries(Containers and Iterators) in C .
A must-have book for C programmers.
CONS:
If you are looking for sample programs then this is not the book for you as it has unnecessarily large and complex programs to explain even the simple concepts.

Excellent book for beginners & intermediate.
Pros:
1. Explains theory with great detail.
2. Comprehensive coverage of Object Oriented Programming in C
3. Book title & contents are in perfect correlation.It really teaches the paradigm needed for OOP.
Cons:
1. Examples given are cramped up, which makes it hard to read. But you can always come up with your own examples if you know the concepts :)
All in all, i whole heartedly recommend this book for any beginner who is serious about C programming.
