    Review of Cafe Latte

‘Café Latte’ is a collection of eighteen unusual stories woven around our daily life. Different from the stereotype stories describing teenage love or idiotic stuff, which seems difficult to digest. ‘Café Latte’ comes a s a gush of fresh wind for those who are fade up with fictional yet non fictional biographies of IITans or Management students. Life bearing characters of Café Latte’s stories belong to different status, occupation and different mentality. The themes of the stories to vary fro...

    Good read

It has 18 stories and each story has a different plot and timeline.
I loved reading all the stories. I would suggest don't read them in one go. Take them in one by one and enjoy each of the story. The book is worth the price and time. :)

    Promises some Unusual Tales

I am not fond of short stories nor have I read any book by Amit Shankar. This seems to be his 4th book after reading which I am gong to grab all the others. Really impressed with the cover and the book promises some unusual tales. In its construct, selection of stories, the plot, the characters, the pace, the end, and the vacuum it creates in & around you… edgy to the core, it leaves you wondering about life and your own self.
The best one of the 18 stories was “A rose for her”: A simple, s...

    Book Review: Café Latte

    Author: Amit Shankar
    Format: Paperback
    Published: August 2014
    Publisher: Vitasta Pub

Anthologies attract me. They give a quick read, short concentration span and they empower us in a special way.

‘Café Latte’ by Amit Shankar is a collection of ‘Eighteen Unusual Short Stories’ from different genres. Spontaneity is apparent in each of the 18 stories, but what is unusual about a select few is not how they have been executed, or how the themes have been rendered. The uniqueness is either a t...

    Add it to your collection..

I have read all book of Amit Shankar starting from flight of hilsa to love is like vodka.. When i came to know he has written short stories, I was amazed. In short stories the plot has to be capturing and end has to be unexpected. Being a fan of short stories of Jeffery Archer, I loved reading Caffe Latte, all the stories are amazing, witty and keep you trapped till end... I recommend this book to all book lovers!!

    Superlike

My girl friend gifted it to me. I liked the cover. On my way to office, on metro, I opened it. Was not even sure if I wanted to read it. Read ‘Temple of the king’ and there was no looking back. What caught my attention that unlike a compilation, here the author has written all the stories himself. All of them are so unique and outstanding. I loved Temple of the king, the black widow, 26 down express, code of honour and the lion, the leopard and the hyena. Well articulated thoughts and superla...

    Too good to be true

it swept me off the floor…with its power, story telling, conviction and sheer grit. in a world where short stories don’t even sell, this crazy man not only penned them but did so with so much of élan. every story is a gem in itself. different and completely ‘arty.’ The stories have been crafted beautifully and narrated in a fluid manner. what amazed me was his power of observation. life painted in a new color and the color i love the most; shades of black.
it is a must read for serious reader...
