Synopsis and Features
Call Of Duty 2 follows the story of 4 different soldiers who are made to march into a war to fight for their countries. From the war-torn land of Moscow to the blistering heat filled deserts in North Africa, you will be engulfed in the massiveness of the legendary war. While everyone is trying to annihilate each other, can you stand tall and deliver what is expected out of you? Will you survive to see a sky filled with the whitest of clouds or will you kiss the ground in a spray of bullets? Call Of Duty 2 demands answers for all these questions and more.
Developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, Call Of Duty 2 marks the return of an authentic World War II shooter. The minimum hardware required to play the game smoothly on your computer are Windows 2000, a 1.4 Ghz processor, 4 GB hard disk space, 256 MB RAM and DirectX 9.0 compliant graphics card.
The single-player campaign begins with you playing as a soldier in the Russian army who is trying his absolute best to stop the German advance. You can unlock several different missions as you play through the game. The game includes 4 campaigns that produce 27 different missions. Each campaign is separated into different stages, setting the stage for different narratives.
Call of Duty 2 excels in many aspects. From taking part in night raids, calling in artillery strikes on enemy tanks to even driving a tank yourself, the game is filled with excellent features that make it remarkable. Different types of weapons can be used to complete different objectives. One of the best weapons is the sniper, as you can take out an enemy with single shot and then quickly hide behind a wall for cover from the oncoming onslaught.
You can throw hand grenades to confuse your enemy and make them run helter-skelter. The innovative additions in the game include a bomb indicator that helps you in knowing if you are in the vicinity of a bomb. If that is the case, you can step back till the indicator goes off and plan your assault better to take down the enemy.
You can team up with players from across the world through multiplayer. The different modes in the game include capture-the-flag, deathmatch, team deathmatch, search-and-destroy missions and headquarters. There are different maps available that range from Africa, Normandy to Russia. Up to 64 players can join in at one single time and play a game of multiplayer on the PC. This sets the stage for immensely huge matches, driving up the entertainment factor of the game. The DLCs include different map packs that can be downloaded directly onto your PC from the company’s website.
