    Summary of the Book
Calling Sehmat is inspired by a real-life incident. The author came across this story during the Kargil conflict of 1999 when an Indian army officer told him about how his mother, a Kashmiri Muslim, had married a Pakistan army officer to provide India with classified information during the 1971 war. This story has been set in India and Pakistan in 1971 and revolves around Sehmat Khan, who was born to a Kashmiri Muslim father and a Hindu mother. She is a regular, young, college-going girl when she learns that her father is dying of cancer. As part of his dying wish, he wishes to see his daughter get married to a Pakistani army officer, who also happens to be his friend’s son. Just before her marriage, Sehmat is given training in spy tactics by the members of the RAW. After marriage, she moves to Pakistan. What happens next? Will she be caught by the Pakistan Intelligence Organization? Buy Calling Sehmat online and find out. About the Author

    A prized possession

A heart-rending tale beautifully penned down...the book leaves us gaping in awe at the power of patriotism shown by the numerous unsung heroes and heroines of war whose works though pass unnoticed but definitely leaves its mark on the heart of our motherland! We owe our freedom to them and it is so satisfying to read their stories which makes us value our independence even more...
Though the amateurish writing is prominent at times, especially at the abrupt ending, but that is insignificant ...

    Fabulous!

I finished reading this book the other night. But before I did that, I obviously had watched the movie. This post isn't a comparison between the book and the movie. I don't intend to pass a judgement on which one is better. The book and the movie are good in their own way and need to be looked independently. The only thing they share in common is the plot, and both have been rendered in a way the author/director deemed best. And whether you watch the movie or not, the book is definitely worth...

    Not good

The delivery through Flipkart, the book in its appearance and state were all fine. But coming to the novel: it was quite disappointing. I read the book after watching the movie (Raazi) based on it and I thoroughly felt that the book was better suited to be the script of a bollywood film (beautifully executed in the movie) than as a novel. I hated the book as much as i loved the movie. As an avid reader of English novels I felt this book lacked the flow and the author's hold on the novel. Dott...

    Awesome

An amazing story of an Indian shero who dedicated her life for the country. Amazing narration. Only the part where her life before marriage is narrated that seems over fictionalized. Otherwise amazing way of story telling and a must read story. Every Indian should read this story based on true events.

    Good

I must say this one is a fast paced novel and it was thrilling to read except for few scenes in the starting and the climax would have been better.but seriously the way sehmat manages to spy was too good .it was better than movie.and it has many things which is not in the movie..go for it..
