He has authored over 10 books like Story Of The Delhi Iron Pillar, Marvels of Indian Iron Through the Ages, etc. Dr. Balasubramaniam's research interests included Material-Hydrogen Systems, Environmental Degradation of Materials, Structure-Property Correlation in Advanced Materials and Indian Archaeometallurgy. He is a prolific researcher and has published over 250 research papers in reputed journals.

Excellent book for metallurgical and materials engineering

Its a superb book for beginners of metallurgical and materials . It includes all basic concepts in detailed manner. Clarifies all doubts alongwith diagrammatic representation. Its a fully recommendable book for those who are preparing for any entrance exams such as GATE, etc alongwith for those who are interested in research. The book has beem designed very nicely. Every sub-group and concepts are written separately with new heading which makes it easier to read and understand.

very good for competitive exams like GATE...
have everything you need for a material science course.
the CD provided was though worthless to me...
also flipkart rate is quite low as compared to that you will get from book stores...

Again flipkart delivery was flawless like everytime...

Good book

Excellent book for building concepts in material science. Very good explanations are given through out the book. Adaptation for Indian syllabus requirements makes it very useful.

The book is a s it looks on the cover. There are no faults. all pages and the included cds are available.
I was able to get through my material sciences paper only through the help of this book.
overall it was a very nice book.
