Great general purpose lens!
I've been using this lens from a month on my EOS 6D and its the best general purpose lens. Though it feels a bit heavy, this lens performs great. Has the 'L' series build quality and weather protection. AF is nice, smooth and quickly spots the target. Bokeh is creamy and smooth.
If you're planning to buy this, try to get it as a kit lens as it won't be that expensive.

A Must Have Lens
I have Cannon EOS 5D & this lens suits perfectly which indeed gives excellent Shots. The picture quality is excellent. So this lens should have a must have tag. Just Outstanding lens.

The must have lens
I have used and using this lens for sometime now and its probably the best lens I have ever used, The image quality the sharpness is excellent, I am a beginner in photography and my experience with this lens has been fantastic
