This is a fine lens, a bit heavy, but that is what you get with premium glass. On a full frame body, the performance across the entire aperture range is simply brilliant. The weight helps balance the lens even at 200mm. The IS also works extremely well.

Superb lens, the USM speed and clarity of snaps is just superb. You can get amazing portraits from a distance. It weighs a bit though and that makes it difficult, especially the non-IS version, to keep it steady in low light.
