This easily is one of the best Lens I have owned. One of its kind. The 'L' says it all.

Amazing performance in the day light condition and equally great performance at low light mode.

Looking at the images, you will never be able to tell that 'IS' is missing. Crisp and sharp images.

I won't talk about the build quality or weight or other measurable indexes which you can gather from specs.
One this that the AF is fast, very fast. Color contrast and sharpness is just brilliant. So it is a cheapest specialist zoom lens.
Do not comprare it with 70-300, altogether different beast...
You will get some respect and style along with the lens and its image quality...
