I have a Canon MP258 printer and the ran out of black cartridge that came with the printer so ordered this one and works perfect. The black works alone and it is not mandatory to have color cartridge so the previous reviewers view is not correct. There is an option on this printer software to let it use Black cartridge alone. The printer software says the quality may not be good if black is used alone but did not see any difference.

This is good product but costly. You feel better to buy a new printer than buying cartridges for canon pixma. Initial price is less for printer but after that canon will squeeze you for ink.

about the quality: its pretty good. i am happy with the product performance.

This cartridge is good with respect to print quality but proves to be very expensive as it will run dry in about 200 pages. But printing in Fast Draft quality will make it last few more miles....

Now let's talk about the product... The product is genuine product from Canon... The print quality is good with this cartridge i faced no issues regarding quality of this product...

good and valuable if your self riffle this cartridge other wise it is costly and if you go to perches kindly take ink only from canon do not take comfortable ink

I decided to try a refill kit because replacement cartridges are expensive. It worked well. My printer shows the ink is empty but it works fine. I would buy this product again as the quality is much better than refill one.

Great product.
Gives about 200 prints. Even more if proper printer modes are used. As in draft quality. It still gives perfect quality prints. Also Ink doesn't smudge.
