Awesome
I bought this camera which is canon g7x mark 2, a week back and took it for travelling to konkan belt. Based on my usage I ll give my review.
Lets start with why I liked it:
pros:
1) Compact size, small form factor.
2) Flip screen and touchscreen
3) Its very easy to use which makes it perfect travel or vlog companion
Cons:
1) Autofocus is slow, sometimes really slow
2) Its not dust or weatherproof.
3) No External mic input and internal mic sucks.

The large sensor makes it easy to click great bokeh shots. Thanks to the high processing speed of the DIGIC 7 Image Processor, you can get improved noise reductions for your pictures, even when you are shooting at mid to high ISO speeds. The image processor and the Auto Lighting Optimizer feature, together, help in achieving natural depictions of contrasts and high apparent image resolution.
The DIGIC 7 Image Processor not only enhances the image quality, but it also increases the amount of information from the sensors that can be used. This improves the AF performance even in low colour intensity and low contrasts, thereby making it easy to establish AF in scenes where the subject and background are of the similar colour. The resulting tracking performance is commendable, especially for human subjects. Now, even if another person appears in front of you, this camera will keep the focus on your subject.
This system draws information from the gyro sensor and image sensor to improve the image stabilisation effect. The effect created is equivalent to about 4 shutter speed stops. This system is effective for shooting in low light conditions, and it reduces the shakes caused by your body movement.
Shooting from different angles is now convenient with this camera as it comes with a touchscreen, and a Tilt-type LCD monitor that can tilt 180-degrees upwards and 45-degrees downwards. While the Self Portrait Mode lets you have fun with its tilt-type monitor, the Panning Mode lets you take pan shots easily. You can choose from three levels of blurring, while the camera automatically sets the optimum shutter speed. Other features include the Star Mode and Time-lapse Movie.
