Well worth the price, great zoom capabilities. Really suited for night and low light photography, without flash. No cons at all. The extra features make it easy to use for a novice, but a pro can really put it through it's paces, and it comes out flying in top colors.

i got this camera last week through flipkart.
i'm not a professional photographer. but after seeing the image quality taken by this camera , i would say it is the best camera.

the image clarity is so perfect even in the low light.zooming is exceptionally good. you may find samples for zoomed videos of this camera in you tube.

for those of you who are ready to spend 15000, this camera is the best option to go for.
12.1 pixels does not matter much, but 14x optical zoom does, it can even take very good images in complete dark. i will rate 4.8/5.

I purchased this camera couple of weeks back. Initially there was a lot of confusion going into this model, but two weeks down the lane I really feel I have taken a wise decision by going into this model.

Low light images are superb. Many costly cams are not having this kind of photo quality in dim lights.

Overall a awesome camera, you can just close your eyes and go for it. You can have the sweep panorama feature too that you have in sony cams by using the stitch functionality provided along with s/w bundled with the cam.

Zoom is too good. I have compared sony hx7v and hx9v with this cam but I assure you that this cam is far ahead of its competitors at this level.....
